Title: Dual PC Mode?
Post by: firedog on November 09, 2013, 01:28:09 am
Can JRiver be used in dual PC mode over a network, without  additional software?  In other words, using a control PC running JRiver for all the audio processing, and a stripped down audio PC for the Playback  (something like running a  minimal OS and just using JRiver music server function for the playback). Needed would be a method to point the control PC to the audio PC so the first feeds the second over the network.

On other forums users report this has improved SQ, but they are using additional playback software in addition to JRiver.

Thanks

DLNA is another approach.
