I am just dabbling in Linux and downloaded the first CDROM ISO of Debian to try out JRiver Media Center... And there was some problem during the installation, and I am curious to try again, but figure I would ask the community: is there a Wiki for installing MC19 on Linux? I am not allegiant nor proficient in any Linux distro.
If you guys have a known-good ISO you'd recommend (with links), I'd love to hear about it. Or maybe post to a Wiki for us novice Linux people.
I am using an AMD 64-bit processor (Athlon 3800+) with 4GB of RAM.
Thx!

There are several threads at the top of this board that describe installations on different flavors of Linux.

Downloaded the 32-bit 12.04 LTS version of Ubuntu, installed without any 3rd-party software or any updates and then downloaded JR MC19 for Linux and that worked. I will try some 64-bit gyrations at a later time.
