I have been noticing that my laptop becomes really slow lately.
I checked the processes and I see JRiver at 1GB Virtual mem.
Once I kill it, everything goes back to normal.
I updated to the very latest version (today), but i see that it already at 600MB
I am actually not using it, but the media server is running in background
Any idea ?

It could be normal - building thumbnails or doing audio analysis. A virus checker can slow these down too.
-
Yes but my laptop its totally frozen, until I kill JRiver.
I have been using JRiver for years, and I do not remember this issue before.
-
Try build 74 at the top of this board.
-
Yes I am using it 74

Antivirus?
-
AVG Anti-virus free edition
-
Open Windows Resource Monitor (you can get to it from Windows Task Manager), check the box next to JRiver and see what resouces are being used.
-
Disable it.
