Hi
On MC 18 forum, there is an interesting thread (below) about a possible new feature regarding SACD ISO (and other audio files that don't support tags) sidecar tagging.
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=81787.0
Is this feature still scheduled for MC 19?
Thanks

+1 for SACD & DFF files
-
+1 for this including whole-album audio files whose track separations were imported using .CUE files, that would be quite helpful !
-
Can JimH, Matt or anybody else at JRiver, please share with us if this feature is still on queue to be implemented or was dropped?
Thanks again

Hi all,
it seems there hasn't been any movement in this thread for a while.
I ripped a lot of SACD ISOs with my PS3 and tag them with JRiver. As I access my music server from different JRiver equiped PCs, I need to save and transfer the library to all of them in order to get the SACD tags transferred. ISO sidecar tagging would solve this issue very elegantly, as the tags would be stored in the same folder as the ISOs.
Is there any update on when this feature will be available?
Thanks and best regards from Switzerland
Rudi

+1 for SACD ISO image.
I thought I was going to extract individual dsf files that some tagging editors support though but I gave it up after seeing some thread that SACD extractor can't exactly extract dsf files without any tick noise.
So Sidecar tagging for SACD should be Nice

Its on my list to support sidecar files for audio formats which don't allow native tagging. However, there is no ETA for this.
I just wanted to let you know that you're not completely forgotten.

Thanks, Hendrik :)
Let's wait then...

Just wondering whether there has been any movement on the SACD ISO sidecar tagging front.
I discovered today that JRiver does sidecar tagging of videos just fine. Thanks a lot for that feature. Would be great to have the same for SACD ISOs.

Can this thread be moved to the MC20 Forum? Thanks.
