Guys, I've found that some of my original CD's album/track information is not found by MC when importing and that I have to manually
type in the info. Oddly after the import and manual adding MC does find the albumart ?
I also had the same issue with a recording I made with my Yamaha HDR1500 - the copied disc has text etc an shows on playback in car on
pc or stereo, but MC does not get the album/track information.
Any ideas why that would be ?

Do you mean ripping or importing?
If you mean ripping, MC searches YADB, our database, and then FreeDB. Not all discs will be found.
If you mean importing, then the tags aren't in the files.

Apologies Jim, let me use the correct terminology ;D. Yes when ripping an original Album I have this problem, its a combination of old and
new albums though.
Oddly the copied disc used to work on iTunes I mean iTunes recognized the Album detail, which is a bit confusing. ?

A thing to remember is that iTunes and MC uses different databases (although it is seldom that I get an album that is not recognized).

JimH's post above refers ...

iTunes uses Gracenote exclusively as far as i Remember - would MC have access to that DB aswell or are there
licensing issues ?

No Gracenote in our future.
