Hi All, I have a smartlist called 'Artist with multiple genres' that just goes mad. I get multiple copies of it (75 currently). If I delete it and all 75 others it eventually comes back. How can I really delete it.

Here is how the smartlist is setup.

that's pretty weird! I had a smartlist that looped once, but it didn't come back from the dead like yours
Like to check this out. I'm lazy ! could you export the first smartlist and paste the code here? 8)

[Media Type]=[Audio] -[Album]=[Christmas /(Special Edition/)],[Vinal Singles] -[Genre]=[Christmas],[German],[German Audiobooks],[German Lessons],[Musical],[Opera],[Soundtrack] ~d=m ~limit=-1,1,[artist],[genre] ~sort=[Artist],[Genre] ~dup=[Artist]

Are you operating with an MC client/server setup?
If yes, try: turn off all client MCs, close the server (server only, keep MC open), delete the rogue lists, restart the server, restart the clients.
They should then be gone for good.
There seems to be a problem whereby lists deleted on the server are recreated by connected clients. Certainly, I've wrestled with it for some time now.

yes thats makes sense marko. I imported his list and had no issues ... didn't think of a client/server problem. Long shot just in case, happened to me in the past, did you assign the smartlist to a radio button?

Looks like this cleanup method has worked. The smartlist has not reoccurred.
Thanks for your help.

Glad to hear you're all sorted, thanks for letting us know.
Currently, there is no fix for this issue, so no way to prevent this re-occurring other than not removing playlists on the server while clients are connected. At least you now know what's going on and can quickly recover.
