All the mp3 are free.Twice: free to download and "free" you can burn ,convert them
The $29 only give you faster acces to all, faster surf of pages.Anyway there is a 14 days trial,so you can have a look
If you have broadland connection, using"my mp3" you can stream the songs,no need to download, mucht room on your hd

MP3.com uses Pressplay techlology (www.pressplay.com)

The files are in WMA format with DRM enabled

You can burn them to CD ( for 24.95 you are allowed to burn 20 tracks a month)

I've streamed songs on mp3.com in the past, then purchased CDs from the artists. MAny of the CDs had two copies of each song on them, one in cda and one in 128 kbs mp3. very conveniant. Some artists let you download a couple of their songs in 128 kbs mp3--at least, that'e the way it used to be. Its been a year since I was there. Likely it has changed

No, don't remember much about it. At the time, emphasis was mostly on obscure artists. www.cdbaby.com is a better place to find lesser known bands. I no longer have anything that I purchased from mp3.com, but listen to much that I've purchased from CDBaby. mp3.com may have more established artists now, but personally, I'm not looking for that. I have everything by anyone that interests me in every genre that I like, and notifications set up to alert me if any of these bands release something new. Sorry, I know that's not what you were looking for.
