Title: How does memory play work in JRiver for mac 19.0.76

I have play from memory selected, but when I check in activity monitor JRiver does not appear to be using very much RAM.  Does it load one song at a time?  Does it begin playing before the entire song is loaded into memory?  Does it load the next song while playing the current one?
