Title: Mavericks and buffering in stead of music
Post by: rjkamsma on November 26, 2013, 04:00:12 am
Does any one have the same experience? When I play music (NAS Qnap 212->Mac Mini->Teac UD 501) under Mountain Lion the music flows and there is no problem even with double DSD files or DXD files. But with Mavericks there are only a few seconds of music and than JRiver starts buffering.

I have not had this issue since switching to Mavericks....

However I am using a Synology NAS.

Has anything else changed in your configuration since switching to Mavericks? Do you have memory play enabled or disabled?

To eliminate a problem with the NAS, try this:

Copy an album of DSD files that buffer to your local hard disk, import them, and try playing them to see if buffering still occurs.
