When I want to convert a set of files for my Apple iPad/iPhone, I use Convert Format to change FLAC to AIFF or ALAC.
I don't want the new Apple files in my JRiver library so on the Audio Conversion Options dialog I select "Leave original file; do not add destination file to library".
However, JRiver 19 always adds the Apple files to my library so when I listen to albums I get duplicates of every song, one in FLAC, one in AIFF.
Am I misunderstanding, or is this a bug?

Do you have Conversion Cache enabled? Change it to None.
Tools -> Options -> File Location -> Conversion Cache -> Audio
Note: If you want to keep the converted files so you don't have to convert them again later, you can Stack the files or add a child level in your Customized Views so that they do not play twice.

I disabled the cache and tried again, but same result.
I actually want JRiver to do the conversion and leave the files far, far away in Apple world.
Thanks for your help.

Under Convert Format/Audio Converter Options, do you have Destination set to Convert to same directory as original files or Convert to this directory?
Set it to Convert to this directory and browse to a folder that is not monitored by your Import settings. MC may not be adding it to your library initially, but if it is placed in a folder monitored by Import, MC will pick it up on Auto Import or the next time you run Import.
I just double checked, and it is working properly for me.

That was it - really dumb of me hey?
Sorry for wasting your time.
Thanks,
