Title: Pioneer Elite VSX-51 with JRiver MC

My friend stiopped by over the weekend, and I showed him my set-up using JRiver MC 19 with JRemote on my iPhone to control it.  He wants to try it on his system, too.  He has a Pioneer Elite VSX-51 with a computer hardwired to his home network, though he said he could connect the computer directly to his receiver.  He is concerned that JRiver will not work with the Home Media Center that comes with the Pioneer.  Also, he is concerned he might have to remove Windows Media Player from his computer to use JRiver.  The Pioneer comes automatically configured to use Windows Media Player.  So, he does not want to lose all his info in WMP during a trial period.

If anybody has any experience with new Pioneers and JRiver, your feedback would be approcaited greatly.

I am the friend (just registered).  the Pioneer is networked via ethernet to the PC.  VSX-51 is DLNA compliant as is JR, so I think I should be trouble free.
