Title: TV playback with 2xDSD ?
Post by: rikirk on December 04, 2013, 05:25:13 pm
First of all, you made me super happy with the 2xDSD via the new Teac501/ASIO fix. I had to build a new pc to get a good enough benchmark score, but it does sound beautiful to my placebo addicted ears.

So, now I just finished to set up the ASTC TV Tuner with the same configuration I have for Audio signal, but I cannot get any sound from the TV programs. Otherwise, if I set DSP with no bit-streaming/encoding, I can hear the audio from the TV flawless.

Am I missing something in the TV settings or it's just impossible to convert the audio signal from the ATSC one to 2xDSD?

Thank you in advance for the support.

Riccardo

DSD encoding is an audio-only feature right now and does not work with any video playback.

thank you!

I guess the option I have is to set up two different zones one for audio playback and the other one for the TV.
