Title: Netflix playback does not respect JRiver audio device under WASPI
Post by: coderego on December 05, 2013, 08:36:06 am
With
1) my audio output mode set to WASPI and
2) my Windows default audio set to my headphones
3) my default audio device in JRiver set to my TV (hdmi)

Results:
1) Computer playback over headphones
2) JRiver playback over TV
3) JRiver NETFLIX playback over headphones.

Can this be fixed?

Netflix plays inside a web browser, so is independent of the JRiver audio engine.

You can pick a default Windows device in Control Panel > Sound, and the web browser will use that.

Unfortunately, I *WANT* all my other sound in my headphones. I only want my JRiver sound to the tv.

We don't like it either.

Netflix doesn't support native playback on a computer.

Hopefully someday.  You could tell them it's important to you.

I can do better than that.

I'm a NFLX stock holder. I can bring it through share holder relations. Any technicals/specifics I can include?
