Hello,
I am trying to get this done
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DJ_Use
The problem with running two instances of JR is, that when I drag and drop a song to the playing now playlist on the right, the right window changes and adopts the view of the left window. So it is divided into a split view window.
I searched the forum for other people having faced the same problem and it appears that earlier versions of JRiver didn't support having two instances with different views. I guess that since Alex works like that this might have changed in newer versions or there might be another work around.
can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

It is no longer necessary to do it with separate instances of MC (which is possible, but isn't recommended, and can lead to oddball behavior).
You can now split the view, with either tabs, or with horizontal or vertical dividers. You can do this via: View > Split View. I often like to have my library on the left, and Playing Now (with multiple tabs open for different Zones) on the right. Drag-drop between the split views certainly works, and there is less chrome this way.
