Title: Files not getting added to library...

ok, ive added the directories, removed them, re-added, rescanned...and nothing.

any thoughts?

.mkv file . in a sub directory on the C drive. imported using auto import after saving the settings....

all other files are fine.

what info do you need?

By default, Auto Import ignores files previously removed from the Library.  You can disable this option in the settings for Auto Import.
