Just started moving of off Logitech Transporter. I had audio library for classical music organized based on the file system folders. My iPad remote app supported such organization for the SlimServer. Is there anything similar in jriver MC?
The reason I ask this question is that a) I did not find any other structure easier for classical music, however it is not perfect. B) after importing my content into MC, all look nice, but I cannot find anything.
Thanks,
Alex

In the Audio section of the tree, does the "Files" view not give you what you want?

The Files option gives me the entirely list of files. In my case ~7k files.
I would like drill down capability similar to Windows Explorer.
It is much more convenient to operate with compared to the flat list.
Also it takes less time to organize the files into a tree structure compared to defining tags for all the files.
Am I missing something?

You should have panes at the top (above the file list). One of them is labeled "Location". Here you can expand the root drive(s) and drill down to subfolders. When you select a subfolder it will only list the tracks in that subfolder.

That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Can I do the same in JRemote?

Don't know about JRemote but you can with Gizmo.

Ya I can't do 100% flat folders. I always have one level deep structures. For standard file explorer viewing. Like a folder for kids music. This also let's me tag on import.
To set up views I use the tag filename (I think ). Then I set it to "starts with" or "contains".
Then fill in the something like this. M:\kids
I always use networked drives. Even for local drives. So these will never change. Even if I switch drivers to upgrade or repair.
