Hi.
Just picked up a TBS8922 satellite TV card. First impressions are good except for the HD channels, these seem to show quite a bit of judder, this is especially obvious during the end credits. I have tried changing the 'General video settings' but this doesn't seem to alter the result.
I am able to play DVD's and Blu rays without any problems. Is there something I am missing?
I am running:
ASUS M5A 78L-M USB3
AMD FX 8-CORE
8GB RAM
PNY Geforce GTS 450

Have you tried both Red October Standard and HQ?
-
Yep, tried both, the result is the same on either one. It's as if the picture can not keep up with the frame rate.
-
video drivers up to date?
I just did & it helped ,your results may vary ::)

Happy new year :)
Thanks for the TIP, but it's up to date.
I am still toggling between Red standard and HQ, not sure which is best if I'm honest, both appear a lot more stable than before. I had hoped to use HQ, one reason, this works with my blu rays etc, the other, so I can use MadVR.

Do you have VideoClock turned on?
Nick.

Yep, that's on, thanks Nick.
I think I may have found the problem, possibly a screen refresh rate conflict. Since setting Windows 7, NVIDIA & JRiver's screen resolution to 50hz all's good, well it was yesterday. I will see if things have changed again since then later tonight.??

I would strongly recommend using JRiver's Enable Automatic Display Settings changing under Options > Video > Display Settings. Set the Default to 50 so it returns to this for TV after showing movies, for example. I don't think MC's TV uses the auto display settings yet.
