Generally, you don't need to because MC can be set to ignore articles while sorting.  And, now it has a user-definable list of articles, for those of you who aren't native English speakers (or suffer from OCD).  I don't have MC running right now and don't feel like firing up my VM to launch it (and kill my battery, I'm in the car right now), so I can't tell you exactly where in the Options it is, but just search MC's Options box for "articles" and it'll find it for you.

But, another tip for reversing names (Tori Amos to Amos, Tori) in the [Artist] field, or any other field you want to manipulate, can be found here:
