Working with MC 19. I am trying to create a customised view of my collection which does not include audio tracks from a particular artist. I'm using the Included Files function in the Settings panel of the customize view dialog. When I save the view and reload it my Included Files setting does not stay - is this the way it is supposed to work?

Probably because I am trying to alter a view using a copy of MC on my laptop to remote control MC on another.
However I would have thought it should still work?

You can't modify the Library "structure" in any way from a Client copy of MC. Views reset back to the Server's version when you next resync changes. (such as, closing and reopening MC). This includes even things like the View Style and "active" View in Theater View. You can alter these things, but only on the server itself.
You can apply tags from a Client copy, and make changes to Playlists, but that's about it.
