Title: DVD-A Playback
Post by: rkhorton on January 09, 2014, 10:06:18 am
Is it possible to PLAY DVD-A disks using my iMac and MC 19.100 for the Mac. If so are there any special settings that need to be enabled to do so. Thanks in advance, Richard

You cannot play the physical disks using MC.  However you could use a tool such as DVD Audio Extractor to rip the contents to your hard drive and then play them with MC, that is what I do.

They offer a free 30 day trial, so you can determine if it both works and fits your needs.

Thanks for the hint. I will look into it. I am being a bit stubborn, though, because I keep waiting for MC for Mac to have an integrated ripping program. The system in MC for Windows is so easy to use. Simplicity is the key for me. But I do appreciate the info and will look into your suggestion. Regards, Richard
