Title: customize the tree?

Is there some way to customize the tree? I want to move "playlists" to the top of the tree, and delete a few items like "podcasts" and "notes".

In Options/General, open Features.  You can uncheck what you don't want.

Jim's advice will allow you to remove certain items such as podcasts and notes, as well as some others you may like to hide.

As far as re-ordering the tree goes though, you can't really do that.
Nothing gets above "Playing Now", "Audio", "Images" and "Video".
