I have marked all the TV Channels (about 40 over-the-air) I don't like as "hidden" but they are still displaying in "Live TV" Theater View.
They are being hidden in the Standard View but that is not where I do my viewing from.
I tried some variations using "Keyword = hidden" in the Theater View >Live TV >Guide "set rules for file display", but so far I have not figured this part out.
Any help would be much appreciated.

What happens if you Delete them in Tools --> Options --> Advanced --> Edit Channel List ....

I *think* a Theaterview reset was needed to make use of the (relatively) new Hidden channel feature. The downside is you'd need to re-do all custom views etc.
Alternatively you can delete the xmltvid from the channels you've marked as hidden and so they won't show anymore. (A channel has to have EPG data to show in Theaterview. ). Easiest way to do this is to make a smartlist of TV channels in standard view, expose the xmltvid column and keyword column and just delete the xmltvid tag for those you want hidden.
Or as Jmone suggests - delete the channel altogether. The downside of this is that it will reappear if you do a channel rescan.

Here's the changelog:
18.0.186 (5/16/2013)
4. NEW: Theater View television guide hides channels marked as hidden and adds a 'Favorite' view for favorite channels (requires resetting Theater View views in Options > Theater View > Reset!...).

Thanks for the assistance.
I reset Theater View to get the live TV Guide to work with Hidden and Favorite channels.
When I reset Theater View, new "Custom" coding was entered in "TV >Set Rules for File Display" >
-[=TVInfo(ChannelKeywords)&DataType=
[Hidden]
Perhaps if I knew this coding I could have just entered it without resetting everything in Theater View.
Anyways, everything is working as expected now.
Thanks
Note the brackets [] are causing this page to display the code incorrectly - it thinks I am trying to use html code for "List" .
Instead of the "[" and the "]" brackets, I'm going to post the code using "{" and "}" so it will display here (use replace the { with [ and it should work:
-{=TVInfo(ChannelKeywords)&DataType={List}}={Hidden}

Hmmm. I thought I'd tried that at the time and it didn't work. I assumed therefore that some change in coding was needed for the view. I probably typed it in wrong.
Thanks. I'll try again with that syntax.
