Title: Continued Errors Ripping with v8.0.211
Post by: kessbroker on February 25, 2002, 08:53:21 pm
I downloaded v7.2 a few weeks ago, and loved it.  I began ripping my personal CD collection to mp3 format, and found MJ to be fast, efficient, and fairly error free.

I decided to purchase a license, but before so, I downloaded and used the beta 8 version for a while.  Everything I needed seemed to work, so i went ahead and registered last night.  Since then I have tried to continue ripping my CD collection to MP3, and keep getting all kinds of errors.  The latest one was:

MEDIA JUKEBOX caused a general protection fault
in module DIBENG.DLL at 0003:00000fa9.

In version 7 I could copy the CD, and it would begin to encode to mp3, while copying the next track.  I can't seem to get version 8 to do this, even with checking the rip and encode simultaneously box.  Does anyone have any ideas how I can correct this?  It seems to have started right after I registered?!!?!   Can anyone help out here?  Thanks.

Not absolutely certain, but that appears to be the same error message a number of us get when we leave MJ in extended playback of resident files - after a while, MJ aborts. MS says its because of incompatibility between video drivers and MJ, but the suggested work-around doesn't. In another post yestrdy, Matt sd its their bug and they're working on it.
