Title: Issue with movies......
Post by: danelmix5 on January 25, 2014, 12:39:37 pm
Hi all, just starting using JRiver this week, I love it. Only thing not working are 3 movies I purchased from iTunes. When I click them to play from JRiver I get an error that says , "failed to connect audio decoder to source/splitter" . I have researched and tried many things but I can't solve it. All other videos play fine.  Any suggestions would great. Cheers, Dan

Welcome and thanks.  The video may be "protected".  Try playing in Quicktime.  If that works, you can set MC to play the filetypes with QT.  It's under FileTypes in MC's settings.

Did you change filetypes?  Details, please.

in file types I changed mv4 to play with quicktime engine.  No that I look all the m4v that won't play say "unknown codec" if that has any relevance?
