Title: Gizmo & Philips DS8400 : Issue with Vol Control over Bluetooth
Post by: jmone on January 25, 2014, 10:39:03 pm
We have a Philips DS8400 (http://www.philips.com.au/c/audio-system/lightning-connector-for-ipod-iphone-ipad-ds8400_10/prd/) and it connects over BT and plays fine from Gizmo but if you try to use Gizmo Vol Control (either HW buttons or from the Menu) it will set it MAX vol.  You can only adjust it on the DS8400 just fine but if you use Gizmo - back to max vol.  If you try pressing the down vol on the tablet it just sticks around 93% and you can not get it any lower, press up and back to 100%.

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks
Nathan

Is it possible that the volume up button sticks?

Nope - it clearly works and is fine with the internal speakers, my guess it is something with the control over BT.

FYI - must be something with the DS8400, just tried a BT Audio --> Audio converter and it worked fine.
