Title: Bookmarks/Index points
Post by: akira54 on January 26, 2014, 04:47:19 pm
I wonder if it is possible to create bookmarks/index points within a (music)video, preferably with text attached so you can quickly go to a particular point/song.

If it isn't possible yet, is this perhaps an idea for a future version?

You can set a single bookmark, and it is unnamed.

You can use Particles to simulate many bookmarks.

Great, that sounds just like the thing I was looking for. Can the particles once they have been set up be accessed from Theater View?

Yes, they'll act like virtual files.  Just set the Playback Range (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/File_Properties_%28tags%29#Playback_Range) values, and set any metadata you need to distinguish them.
