Hi,
after upgrading to 19.0.108 build, the MC can't play film with DTS (DTS-HD) audio through ASIO. No problem with Wasapi or direct audio.
The audio card is an Asus essence ST, linked to an old (but good) Onkio Integra multich. amp via S/PDIF. In audio options I've set only S/PDIF bitstream and nothing else.
No problem with Asio in stereo configuration with some DSP filter (analog output to a tube preamplifier)...
Any idea?

Maybe you'll find something here:

Thanks for your answer, but DSD works (bitstreaming over S/PDIF at 176400).
There's just a problem with DTS if I set ASIO (everything is fine with Wasapi),
It's only a curiosity, more than else, as Wasapi output is perfectly adequate...

I'm not sure ASIO actually supports bitstreaming of DTS. Did this work before?
-
I'm pretty sure it did...
But, before downloading the new MC build, I swapped the Unisonar drivers for the Essence ST with the original drivers provided by Asus on their site (the Unisonar drivers were somewhat problematic when I changed settings in JRiver switching beetween different "zone", e.g. MCH and stereo settings).
I'm wondering if the Asus drivers stopped DTS from working in ASIO... Don't know, Just a possibility...

Regarding the drivers, it's possible. DTS is probably the least widely supported digital format. I can't find a single video player on my android phone that supports DTS audio. Some used to support it, but they all removed DTS support in the last 6 months or so. I suspect that licensing issues are at play.
