Title: Harry the Hipster -- crashes
Post by: JimH on February 24, 2002, 05:49:10 am
Could be an MJ problem, but try checking for Windows updates.  IE/Tools/Windows Update.

KingSparta reported a crashing problem on XP a few days ago that was solved by reinstalling XP.

Yes It Was.

I did have mj crash once since don't think they are related since before MJ would crash before when doing nothing major like playing.

Thnx Jim - am up-to-date on all service packs. Dr. Watson is suggesting I uninstall MJ/reinstall.

I think you have Win98 but not Win98 Second Edition (the one that works).

Right - 98, not 98 SE. Have reinstalled MJ - lets see what happpens.

MS wants me to install the Standard Display Adapter (VGA), but I keep getting apocalyptic warnings from my computer that I'll hasten the Final Days if I do that, so have held off.

Reinstalling didn't resolve it.  Did install the Standard Display Adapter, and that was a mess, just finished cleaning up after that.

Any idea why the problem has appeared in this build, Jim, or shld we just wait for the next one?

Thnx....HTH

It's our bug.

Hopefully we'll have it fixed in the next build. (we have to find it first)

Thanks.

Spoke too soon - the DIBENG.DLL dybbuk is back. Have 216 installed both locations. Not doing anything much but playing a series of files on the office computer and working in Outlook and Word.

Anyone else still seeing this?

Thnx...HTH
