Title: First htpc

hi
As tube guy I will try  my first htpc build .I have pc stay around with hardware:
Asus MB P5q pro
Intel core duo 5800
Ram 4G
Hdd Samsung spinpoint 1T
ATI Radeon HD 48oo with hdmi adapter
Windows 7
Tv Panasonic plasma TX -p50v10e
Receiver Yamaha rxv 2700 with hdmi and optic /coax input for sound
What must be replaced or is better new build ?
I will use htpc for audio and movies ( all on hdd ) later evt. dac only for music .I play no games .
I have also I-Pad ( can i use it for remote )?

Looks OK.  I'd not bother with the "optic / coax for sound" HDMI does a better job.  FYI - I used to have a V2700 and it has some EDID issues with 23/24hz not being advertised as available, (but you can force it).  Only matters if you plan to do display rate changing for video playback.

Thanks ,grafic card is loud - i think to change it with something pasive ,and buy SSD for operating system.
