I was reading a post on this forum earlier that had the same issue - but the comments stopped before explaining how to fix the issue was explained (the topic creator fixed the problem). I have same issue - I cant get the Cambridge Audio Magic 6 to find the media centre server.

Media Centre 19 has picked up all my music files and plays them no problem.

I have the Stream Magic 6 displayed as a link in Playing Now. But if I send a music track to it, it just plays locally on my PC (which is acting as a server for now). The Magic 6 does not display Media Centre as a UpnP server.

I have installed bubbleupnp on my old android tablet. This is picked up my Media Centre 19, and also shows on the Magic 6 list of servers.

So how do I get the Cambridge to locate the Media Centre?

Welcome to the forum.  Please start at "Media Network" on our wiki and make sure you have it set up correctly.

A firewall can always be a problem.
