Title: Matt's politics
Post by: jgreen on February 05, 2014, 12:27:07 pm
As a knee-jerk reactionary conservative, I am sooo lucky no doctor has ever assessed me by mentioning Ronnie Reagan--I stood and saluted while I typed this.

Matt, you may not feel about President Reagan the way I do, and I'm sure we don't feel the same way about President Obama, but maybe we can agree on President Clinton?  After all, NOTHING could keep Big Bill down!  Not when the defeatists had drawn up Articles of Impeachment, and fully expected him to resign ahead of his triumphant State of the Union address.  Not even when those hefty harpies all ganged up on him, telling tales.  He persevered, and triumphed, and so will you.

Glad to hear you are continuing your climb upwards.  Lots of work ahead, my friend, but you've got what it takes, and you've got a liberal president!

My sister quivers and foams effusively at the mouth when Reagan is mentioned, typically requiring some dry-mopping.  Might political topics be a bit too frothy for health and welfare during Matt's recovery?

He knows he has children, but doesn't know he has a wife.  (He will pay for that.)  He seems to believe it's 2014.
I suspect his sense of humor is working ?

There is a good chance that it is.

I liked Reagan, And Clinton, Bush had issues with spending, and Obama has many issues.

Obama maybe a nice guy, I just don't like the way he spends my money.

One thing I do like about Obama is he is in support of equal rights for Gay people who wish to get married (maybe a political move).

Anyone who is fiscally responsible (without raising taxes) and keeping the debt down would get my vote, Republican, Democrat, or a Trappist monk.
