Title: Unwanted Repeats of random tracks whilst playing to DLNA renderer.
Post by: Geoff A on February 10, 2014, 03:20:04 am
BUG REPORT:--   Equipment used is windows 7, MC v.19, Sony BDVN7100 HTS.,(renderer)

MC 19 plays OK to the SONY HTS but random tracks get repeated even though the repeat switch is set to OFF.

As far as I have tested the repeat for any track only repeats once before going on to the next track.
WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 12 plays OK without random repeats.
I cannot use WMP 12 on the HIFI PC as this can only run XP.

Update:  As suggested right click on the HTS in the  "PLAYING NOW" list
and make sure the options  IGNORE TRANSPORT EVENTS & DISABLE SETNEXT SUPPORT are selected as active, (last in the drop down menu).
This then prevents random repeats from happening. So thank you BETA team member.

As a comment to the INTERFACE team I would say that such switches are obscure in their meaning to the non techie guy.
Would a TRANSPORT EVENT be someone throwing the PC across the room in frustration?
Perhaps a right click HELP link on the more technical items ?
Anyway thanks for the help.

In MC Playing Now, Playing To, if you right click on the renderer (the Sony), you should see a (sub-) menu with a check box option called something like *) "SetNextAvTransportUri support" -- try unchecking that option.

*) I am doing this from memory because I don't have MC on the machine where I am writing this...
