regardless of the method I use(file menu, red triangle). as soon as I take the action, it just sits there...and sits...until the circle cursor thing happens and I get the message " program is not responding do you want to close it down, etc etc"
im thinking that could be tied into why i the same filesets are scanned every time for analysiss? no proper shutdown?
it is frustrating to say the least!

It seems to be having quite a bunch of files it tries to import but considers "bad", which means somehow corrupt and won't import.
I wonder if thats a reason for the problems.

Is it possible there are files listed in your library that are on a network drive that is missing? You can sort your files by location in any view that shows it by clicking on the title at the top of the column.

hadnt thought of those things! i will have a look! thank you!

had a look sir and did not see any missing drives. but i am curious about the corrupt thing. is there a way to sort by "file disposition" ie "problem files" vs good? i really want to get this thing licked!

Trying to perform audio analysis on "bad" files (via auto-import) was the cause of MC freezing on quit for me a while back.
