Title: format not supported MKV files

I have a Samsung smart tv which plays my mkv files if connected via a usb drive. But if i stream them from JRiver media 18 i get unsupported media on my TV
any help please

The formats that can be played when reading from a filesystem (your USB drive) and those via DLNA are typically different in devices, with wider support for filesystem-based playback.  You'll have to figure out which formats your TV plays via DLNA.  It may be mpg2 only.

You can use a tool like like Device Spy to help you figure out which formats the device supports:

or perhaps your TV's manual will have the list.
