I've got my music files stored on my hard disk D:/My Music/JRiver (or something . . ). Anyway, now, after installing iTunes on my PC (and copying the files to its library), files will show up twice in MC; the "other" file located in D:/My Music/iTunes etc.
Where do I find the option NOT to include the iTunes folder in MC? I've searched File/Library and Tools/Options without any luck.
Thanks in advance.

Tools > Options > Import... > Configure Auto-Import. Check which paths you have configured for auto-import.

Thanks. Changed the path from D:/Music to D:/Music/JRiver. Still, turning MC off and on, the files were still duplicated?

You'll have to use Search to find only those files (try search by Filename (path) or Filename). Then, you can select them all, and hit Delete (leaving the first option selected).

Not quite sure which "Search" function you mean here, or where to find it?

For Shame - 260 Posts, and not knowing about the Search box and Search Wizard! :-(
Upper right corner, little box that is labelled in light-grey "Search". Click and use the Search Wizard.

Oh yes, I know (I use it almost daily) . . I just thought we still were somewhere in the upper left menus. I also posted another question which somehow disappeard; would a safe way to go be searching for "iTunes", mark all the files, then hit Delete/Delete from Library (only)?

Ok, good, Shame retracted. :-)
I would search for as much of the path that ensures uniqueness. If the segment 'iTunes' is enough, then fine. But it might be better to use something a bit longer and more certain.

Fine. I included the first four links from the iTunes paths now, and it all worked fine. Thanks for being helpful and patient. :)
