Title: VSTs with "standard" controls look bad - hard to use

Plogue Bidule VST plugin uses "standard" vst controls, but J River renders them like this:

The Plogue Bidule author says:

Looks like the controls (we call for the standard ones) are getting hijacked by what the host registered for itself. Not sure
there's much that can be done besides having our own set and move out of using the standard one.
