Came in the mail yesterday, and the back page has a piece on high-resolution audio by their Senior Home A/V Editor, Steve Kindig.
"Tip: Although iTunes is great at organizing your music, it doesn't provide the best sound quality, and won't play some file types. One popular and great-sounding alternative is JRiver Media Center."

Great! Thanks for posting that. If you have time, please post a picture of the page.

Just realized the second page has a download link as well.
If you need it, I can try to get a .pdf scan later too.

Thanks very much. I just visited Matt at the hospital and I read your post to him. It made him very happy.

Best news I've heard all day.

The cognitive dissonance on this part of the line is hard to reconcile:
Although iTunes is great at organizing your music
But their hearts are in the right place. ;) ;D

No way! They've missed the most important part of the paper article. Thankfully, due to the diligence of connersw, the interweb world does not miss out. Sweet .. 8)

It looks like Steve Kindig corrected the article (http://www.crutchfield.com/Learn/high-resolution-audio-guide.html). At the bottom:
A media player for audiophiles
"When it comes to storing, organizing, and playing back music on your computer, iTunes® gets a lot of things right. But it may not be the best choice if you want to build a high-res music collection. It doesn't provide the best sound quality available, and doesn't support some common high-res file formats, like FLAC.
"JRiver Media Center is a popular and great-sounding alternative. It's available for PC and Mac®, and can be downloaded here."
Thanks, C
