Title: BluRay Playback with PowerDVD 10
Post by: newguy1 on February 26, 2014, 06:53:22 pm
Hi there,

Looking for a little help, I just bought an internal Blu-ray drive and it came with a copy of PowerDVD10.  I can get the PowerDVD player to play no problem, but when I try to play in JRiver it tells me to install a Blu-ray reader.

I've tried searching a little, but can't find anything that helps me troubleshoot on my own.

Any takers to point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

David

PowerDVD is a licensed BD player and can (usually) read/decrypt discs to play them. Programs like MC use Directshow filters to play back BDs, and require a disc decrypter. The most popular, most often updated, but pricey one is AnyDVD-HD.

That's too bad, any ideas if the loopback function will pass the lossless audio?

There is a free trial of AnyDVD-HD. Try it and see what you think.
