Title: No Disc Loaded?
Post by: New_Shoes on February 23, 2003, 03:12:39 pm
Hello Group,

When I try to burn a CD I keep getting the "no disc loaded" message even thou I have loaded a disc.

Fyi, this just happened as I had burned 5 CD's and then poof on the next one I got the message.

I'm using windows XP.

Thanks,
Barry

Sounds like XP's built in burning software may be getting in the way. Disable by...

Dbl click on My Computer
Right click on your RW drive icon and select Properties
Select the Recording tab and clear the "Enable CD Recording..." checkbox

10-27

Things 2 check...

1) XP SP1 installed?
2) Other burning software conflict (ie: older versions of Nero)
3) Latest MJ? (somewhere here is a list of supported drives - check the FAQ)

10-27

edit: 4) Wouldn't hurt to update ASPI (even if MJ is using it's own). See the Adaptec site.

editedit: remote possibility...WMP9 (clashes with MJ)
