Hi,
Ripped a 2 disk various artists disk this morning (1st one in a long time) & noticed some inconsistencies with the CD data returned from YADB- Disk 1 - Artist field was populated with Various Artists, however Disk 2 had the correct artist populated
- Disk 1 - Album name has correct name with "Disk 1" appended. Disk 2 as correct name with "Cd2" appended
Aside from re-tagging (which I've done) do I have any control on how YADB returns data (eg "Disk 1" v "Cd1")
If I submit data to YADB, how are my changes vetted?
Thanks,
Steve

Further to my initial post, the 2nd CD a ripped (ie the one that had the correct Artist information), is not appearing the the default view: Audio - Artists as a Multiple Artists disk. I'm assuming this is because MC isn't recognising the tracks belong to the same CD. Any idea on how to fix this - I have noticed the file path for these tracks is ...\Artist\Album\Track whereas CD1 is ...\Various Artists\Album\Track
thanks,
Steve

There's no control over how data is returned from YADB. User submissions are based on popularity of the submitted data I believe.
When ripping a multiple artists CD, be sure to either check the box for Multiple Artists before ripping, or ensure that your Options > Location > Audio rules take multiple artists albums into account.

Thanks MrC
I guess the curious thing is I didn't change settings between rips.
Where is the Multiple Artists checkbox? I can see it in the Rename, Move & Copy utility (& it was checked), but haven't found it elsewhere.
In the ruleset for Audio location, would you please recommend an approach to handling multiple artist CDs. My current rules are
- Folder Rule = [Artist]\[Album]
- Filename Rule = padnumber([Track #],2) - [Name]
I have disabled auto-rip mode so I can correct things before ripping starts.
Thanks again for your help,
Steve

The checkbox appears in the CD rip dialog that opens when you insert a CD; the dialog will open if you're in the Drives & Devices view, or you can click the Edit Disc Information button.
