Title: Photo Slideshow with Music
Post by: ldoodle on March 04, 2014, 08:40:59 am
Can it be done? I guess so but haven't figured it out.

Basically, do a slideshow from whatever folder level and have music (shuffled) playing as well.

Easy-peasy:

1. Play music.
2. Leave it playing.
3. Play images.
4. Profit!

When you "play" a set of images while MC is already playing music, it automatically switches into a special photo slideshow zone setup.  I think the reverse works too (play images, then music), but I'm not 100% positive there.

In any case, you don't have to do any setup.  You can do it right on the fly with any set of music and any set of images.

That's the quickest and easiest path to your goal. If you have tried it already, you will find that the transport buttons now act on the images, and have no effect on the music, which might not be ideal for you.

Last time I checked, if you play images, then music, the pictures stop and the music starts.

If you create a smartlist with a mixture of music and pictures and play that, you get the slideshow to music, but now, the transport buttons control the music, so 'next' gives you the next track instead of the next image.
