Title: JRiver OSD remains visible using Red October HQ on Haswell processor
Post by: sgs on March 11, 2014, 03:44:14 am
I have 2 Haswell machines, one with an i7-4700U (HD4400) and the other with an i5-4250U (HD5000).

When viewing high-definition 2.35:1 h264 video, the JRiver OSD remains visible after a change of volume etc.

Changing to Red October standard solves the issue.

I'm using the latest build (19.0.117) on both machines.

I've searched the forums for anyone with the same issue but couldn't find anything. Does anyone with a Haswell processor have the same issue or know a fix?

This is an issue with the Intel GPU driver.

You can work-around the problem by opening the madVR options and disabling the option "use a separate device for presentation" under "rendering -> general settings"

You can refer to the madVR Guide on how to open the configuration:

I figured it was probably a driver issue.

Changing that setting has done the trick. Thanks for the very rapid reply!
