Title: How to sort tracks/files?

How do I reorder track numbers (permanently), that were jumbled on import? The files in question are foreign language lessons that need to be in progressive order: lessons 1, 2, 3, etc.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Are there valid track numbers in the file names?

How do you know the correct order?
