Title: Speedy file moving

Is it my imagination, but is using the Rename, move, copy ... function within MC much quicker than dragging and dropping in windows explorer?

I would not be at all surprised. It could well be that Windows Explorer spends (aka wastes) time on its fancy UI animations. And probably also Windows Explorer is doing extra stuff to support its undo / rollback function..
