Title: Scan Channels (DVB-T) Failing
Post by: jmone on March 18, 2014, 01:59:58 am
Here in Oz we have to do a retune as they are moving some Ch FREQ.  Any way I tried to do a Scan Channels, and MC seems to find them all but "sticks" on 10/50 for ages (see pic) then the Scan Channels Diag Box just disappears.  Log also attached
Thanks
Nathan

PS - using an HD Home Run (if that matters).

Did it work? As in scan in the channels ok?

My HDHR does something similar but works fine.

Have you got the right Freqs for your EPG scraper?

EPG Collector has old settings.. Check the Source Forge site for more info.

I haven't tried a rescan, I just went to http://myswitch.digitalready.gov.au/ entered my address and them manually edited the existing channels with the new changes.

For my location in Sydney only SBS is changing.

Sorry - it's the MC's own Scan Channels that will not complete.  I could edit stuff manually but....

Did you get all the channels you expected within the first 10 frequencies?

From 11 to 50,  no signal was locked.  The program was not deadlocked.  It just was not updating the GUI if no signal was locked.

As for the disappearance of scan dialog window, that is by design.  It goes away when scanning is done.

For next build:

Fixed: When scanning for DVB channels, the GUI was not updated unless there was a lock on a frequency.  This created a false impression of MC hanging.

Thanks Yaobing and yes (I think) I got all the channels in the first 10 but did not realised it had worked as the EPG must tied to the "old" channel freq as I was just getting a blank screen.
