Title: ¿Can I do multi zone sync audio with a mutil channel audio card?
Post by: yoyoc on March 19, 2014, 10:03:24 am
Hi.

If I build a PC with a muti channel audio output card, say 12 channels....

Say, I have 8 channels for a 7.1 in the primary zone, and 2 addotional stereo zones  ( 12 total) all analog out from the PC going into a main 7 channel amp for the 7.1 and a 4 channel amp for the 2 zones....

with MC 19 installed...

¿ Could I have those 3 zones play in sync?

Yes, you can set Output Format in Audio Settings to 12 channels with JRSS mixing then use Parametric Equaliser to copy Left & Right to the unused stereo pairs.  I think MC will mix to a max of 7.1 when you give it more channels than that. You then effectively have 3 separate zones all in perfect synch.
