Found this odd little bug while starting up a video using ASIO with Mytek DAC's USB.
Firstly, if the sample rate is set on the DAC at 44.1khz, then play a video of say 48khz, the video goes quickly from full-screen, to non full-screen windowed mode, then have to double click video windowed view for full-screen. Secondly, the movie will always begin from the beginning regardless if it had a bookmark.
This doesn't happen if the DAC's sample rate is set to the videos sample rate, and does not happen at all with WASAPI. Just ASIO.
I've tried setting play silence at startup in the audio settings in hope the sample rate changes before video plays, but no luck.
My guess is be good to have JRiver switch ASIO sample rate before initiating display drivers maybe?

Not a solution, but a workaround, would be to use the MC19 DSP to resample audio to a sample rate that matches your DAC. The resampling quality of MC19 is actually quite good.

Thanks.
Think you may have misunderstood though. My DAC does 44.1khz to 192khz, and JRiver automatically changes sample rate to match the file's just fine.
The problem is with video. When JRiver has to switch my DAC's sample rate it has this problem. The sample rate changes just fine, but the video starts from beginning and in windowed mode. if JRiver doesn't have to change the sample rate because my DAC is already set that way from last played music or video file, all plays perfect in full screen and at the bookmark. This only happens with ASIO. WASAPI is fine.

This is probably a rare thing only with certain DACs and configurations, but would be awesome if looked into.
Have sent an email to Mytek crew, maybe it's a quirk with ASIO USB driver.

Has there been a chance this bug has been looked into? Have conversed with Mytek, and gathered the problem is with JRiver.
I frequently view TV episodes, find this fix to be quite important.
Thanks

I'm back to using WASAPI, as watching movies/episodes from the bookmark is very convenient.
Is a shame, as ASIO is a better connection. Maybe if JRiver programmed to check and change sample rate before the video processes kick in? The conflict seems to be with audio sample rate change command triggered while video processes are running in the background first.

Next build:
Fixed: When sample rate is changed, full screen playback is maintained (previously it would exit full screen).

that's great news.
Is good to see you back too, Matt.
