Title: No gapless playback through Squeezebox?
Post by: mysticisgod on March 27, 2014, 11:17:54 pm
I use MC19 to stream to my Squeezebox Touch and have noticed I'm not getting Gapless playback on it. Is this correct that it doesn't do it or am I missing a setting to adjust it to gapless. Thanks for any help.

Gapless playback via MC requires the Whitebear DLNA server, but unfortunately for you, that runs on Windows only.

Thanks for the help. Is this something that can be adjusted with future updates? The Squeezebox server software streams gapless on Macs with no issues.

But that is not via DLNA, where the LMS DLNA plug-in does not support gapless.

Funny, 7.8.0 was just released.

So long as your devices work, there's no reason to throw the baby out with the bath water.

agreed.  just a little sour grapes on my part.  bummed they closed shop.  The next best (better...) option is a Sim Audio Mind. $1200 though.....

Agreed MrC. It's too bad they stopped producing it, but it still works fantastic for my use. I have it hooked up to my M-DAC and use with my pair of Seinheiser HD650's.

I was thinking it would be cool to use MC to stream, but it's not a big deal as the server software works... nothing to get over.
