Title: Key for Linux MC 19 works for Windows MC 19 ?
Post by: blackjack on March 28, 2014, 11:53:06 am
Hi,

I bought a key for MC 19 for Linux on 2/5/14, but couldn't get it installed on my Ubuntu. Because I had some other problems as well, I switched to Windows 8.1

Can I use the Linux key for my Windows MC 19 ?

If not, is there a way I van exchange the Linux key for a Windows key ?

If not, can I sell my Linux key to another (Linux) user ?

Tnx,

Jack

MC for Linux doesn't accept licenses yet. And no, you cannot use a Linux license on Windows or vice versa (nor Mac for that matter either).

couldn't get it installed on my Ubuntu.

You can also ask for help on installation issues. Not sure what other issues you experienced but there are several very good distributions you can try.

Debian wheezy would be a solid choice as well if Ubuntu doesn't work out for you.

Plus there's the sticky topic about installing in Ubuntu (I'm in the process of checking it out for 14.04 LTS). But if it's the license that can't be installed, that's normal until MC for Linux is ready to use them.
