Title: How may one set rating using keyboard on MC19?

How may one set rating using keyboard on MC19?

MJ allowed the solution from gappie and Mr C here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=77459.msg525524#msg525524

1) Add an Expression Column having Expression [rating,0]
2) Press F2
3) TAB/ SHIFT+TAB to the column
4) Press 1,2,3,4 or 5, then ENTER

But this does not work in MC. F2 skips over:

Any ideas?

This seems to still work for me. I followed your 4 steps, and I can tab to that column and enter numbers as expected.
It only skips over the original Rating column here.

Thanks H. With that info, now I find the cause:

The fix is:

A tiny but critical difference! :)

I must be blind, I don't see it  :o
Is there a space in front of the expression?

Is there a space in front of the expression?

Yup :)

FTR, the solution is:

1) Add an Expression Column having Expression [rating,0] http://i.imgur.com/jvRYRLh.png - take care not to include any leading space
2) Press F2
3) TAB or SHIFT+TAB to the column
4) Press 1,2,3,4 or 5, then ENTER

It is time for the expression editor to eat leading whitespace.  It rarely is intended, and can easily be escape for those times it is intended.

I'd be happy with the Expression: control removing the left margin that makes it hard to spot white space. The down arrow would need moving, but then it would be better outside the box anyway, I think.
